Vlaggenparade Van Helden

In Nieuwegein, the concept of heroism took on a local face. During the project Vlaggenparade van Helden, Studio Ruwedata (Thijs Kelder) designed a series of 31 unique flags, each dedicated to a local hero. The heroes — ranging from athletes to neighborhood residents with remarkable stories — were honored with their own flag, proudly flying at the West parking area.

The colorful flags together formed a tribute to the power of community and the heroes of everyday life. The project was initiated by Culturele Activiteiten Binnenstad Nieuwegein and curated and coordinated by Mothership.
