Fool Series

During the annual art event Wereld van de Witte de With in 2007, Dstruct presented the installation Fool Series, consisting of thirty large portraits of “fools” and heroes. This series expressively depicted a range of characters exploring the boundary between foolishness and heroism. The installation was displayed on the Schiedamse Vest in Rotterdam, inviting passersby to reflect on role models, masks, and social behavior. The project was initiated and produced by Mothership as part of the September in Rotterdam program by Rotterdam Festivals. Dstruct (Thijs Kelder) was responsible for the concept and execution.
