Rotterdam Routes

Rotterdam Routes is an interactive walking app that allows both visitors and locals to discover the city in surprising and engaging ways. The app features a growing collection of themed walking routes, showcasing the many faces of Rotterdam. Through audio navigation and stories told by authentic Rotterdam residents, remarkable places, hidden stories, and iconic landmarks are brought to life. Today, the app includes routes through areas such as Delfshaven and Hoek van Holland, as well as routes exploring Erasmus and a variety of historical and cultural themes.

The concept was developed by students Emma van Beek, Stephanie Bos, and Lotje Chabot of Threesome under the supervision of Natasa Heydra. The project combined storytelling, location-based interaction, and a user-friendly mobile experience to create a strong connection between users and the city.
