Vandestraat

During the Wereld van de Witte de With festival in 2006, a collective of fifteen street artists presented the project Vandestraat. Fifteen triangular towers were painted live on-site by artists including Fijke Schorn, Yen, Milan Tilder, Oles, BA52, Peter Villerius, Grrt, EHGZ, Pinwin, Joost G, Anton van Hoeven, Galo (IT), and Atelier Herenplaats.

Visitors could watch the artworks being created live, giving the project a spontaneous, temporary, and distinctive character. Each tower became a unique expression of style, identity, and collaboration.

Vandestraat brought the energy of street art directly into the festival, highlighting the power of art in public space. The project was part of the festival’s outdoor program, curated and produced by Mothership on behalf of Rotterdam Festivals. Mothership acted as curator and handled the project management.
