The underpass had long been perceived as unsafe and unwelcoming. Commissioned by the Municipality of Rotterdam, in collaboration with the Municipality of Capelle aan den IJssel, Mothership was tasked with creating a more pleasant atmosphere.<br \/>\nArtist Bruce Tsai Meu Chong designed a mural featuring characteristic elements from both municipalities on opposite sides. At the center of the composition are motifs inspired by a workshop Bruce conducted with schoolchildren from the Capelle neighborhood Fascinatio.
