Their design won a competition aimed at enhancing the Wijnhaventunnel in Rotterdam. The work refers \u2014 both literally and figuratively \u2014 to the city\u2019s origin: the River Rotte. This location, around the Binnenrotte, marks the birthplace of Rotterdam.<\/p>\n<p>A corten steel wall features root-shaped cutouts that together form the word \u201cROTTE-DAM.\u201d The artwork truly comes to life in the evening, when light shining from the floor illuminates the cutout shapes, creating a powerful visual link to the city\u2019s historical roots. The installation measures 2.5 meters high and 26 meters wide.<\/p>\n<p>Mothership developed the concept, acted as curator, coordinated the project, and managed the execution.
