Spread across four locations in South Holland \u2014 at the windmills of Schiedam, Vlist, Aarlanderveen, and Rijpwetering \u2014 they installed monumental, hand-embroidered \u201cflour sacks\u201d that served as both seating and listening objects.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"488\" data-end=\"849\">Visitors could sit on these embroidered objects and, by dialing a phone number, listen to the story of the windmill before them. They could also record their own memories or anecdotes. The fabric coverings were created in the style of a traditional Dutch sampler, crafted with the help of a large group of enthusiastic embroidery lovers \u2014 both young and old.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"851\" data-end=\"1131\">Visitors could sit on these embroidered objects and, by dialing a phone number, listen to the story of the windmill before them.
