This transformation gave it an almost sacred presence: a contemporary cross inviting contemplation, or even forgiveness, for the ecological sins of modern mobility. Poiesz linked this image to the current practice of CO\u2082 compensation, in which trees are planted to offset air travel \u2014 a modern-day form of indulgence.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"858\" data-end=\"1145\">\u201cPilot Projects #2\u201d was a striking presence within the festival\u2019s \u201cGreen\u201d theme, which centered on questions of sustainability and awareness.
