Visitors were invited to be photographed in staged scenes, immortalized as heroes rescuing one of the BLISS performers from a perilous situation. The work playfully explored classical hero roles and imagery, giving visitors a chance to experience their own moment of glory within a theatrical setting.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"461\" data-end=\"724\">With a playful wink and plenty of pink, the BLISS performers enticed the audience to take part in these heroic photo sessions. Each setting combined kitsch, drama, and humor, giving visitors a chance to shine \u2014 if only for a moment \u2014 as the gallant rescuer.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"726\" data-end=\"953\">Damsels in Distress was presented as part of the outdoor program of the annual festival, commissioned by Rotterdam Festivals.
