For their annual \u201cbig check-up\u201d \u2014 during which they would normally have to move from one specialist to another \u2014 a single dedicated space was designed where children and their families could feel at home, and where caregivers would come to them.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"531\" data-end=\"1247\">Maurer United Architects, Hans van Bentem, and Geert Mul each made a significant artistic contribution to the project. Maurer United Architects designed an inviting space centered around a communal table that feels more like a cozy living room than a sterile hospital environment. Hans van Bentem added a fairytale-like climbing tree with a stained-glass canopy, creating a warm and magical atmosphere. Geert Mul designed an interactive application integrated into the table, giving each child access to a personal database where they could create their own digital homepage \u2014 filled with their preferences, memories, and messages to share with other children.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1249\" data-end=\"1487\">The CF Lounge was initiated by Prof. Dr. Harm Tiddens, and the concept was developed and executed by Mothership.
