Zuiderwaterlinie: De Mars

For De Mars — a ten-day cultural walking journey along the Zuiderwaterlinie in September 2018 — Mothership developed the concept, curated the content, and guided an extensive participation process. The event uniquely connected heritage, culture, and communities.

Two processions set out simultaneously from Bergen op Zoom and Grave, walking toward Heusden. Along the way, musicians, carnival groups, artists, well-known Brabanders, and local residents joined in. Each day introduced new ten-kilometer stages filled with encounters, culture, and experience. With surprise performances and local delicacies along the route, De Mars became a festive ode to Brabant’s history and hospitality — carried by the region, strengthened by Mothership.
