Unleash the Raspberri – Den Bosch
In the early morning of June 21, 2005, the city of Den Bosch turned unexpectedly red — not from the rising sun, but through a guerrilla action by Dstruct, in collaboration with Mothership, celebrating the launch of Absolut Raspberri, Absolut Vodka’s new raspberry-flavored edition. On an empty street, gigantic raspberries made of polyester suddenly appeared, chained to the ground. As surreal objects in the city, they gave an absurdist twist to public space and theatrically embodied the explosion of flavor.
This action was part of a series of guerrilla art interventions commissioned by Being There for Absolut Vodka. Photographer Jaap Vliegenthart captured the work at the moment suprême. His photographs became the imagery for the subsequent poster campaign, giving the temporary artwork a lasting visual impact.
Mothership developed the concept, acted as curator, and was responsible for project management and execution.
