Superzebra

Emma van Beek, 2014

A crosswalk — but with a twist.

With Superzebra, artist Emma van Beek brought a subtle yet powerful play of lines to the street. No colors, no frills — just a graphic intervention that disrupts and enriches the familiar pattern of the crosswalk.

The geometric lines play with perspective and movement. They invite passersby to slow down, to look — and perhaps even to pause — precisely in a place where that rarely happens.

Superzebra demonstrates how minimal interventions can create maximum impact. Mothership coordinated and executed the project.
