Rotterdam Information Bike

The Rotterdam Information Bike is a mobile information point in the form of a distinctive cargo bike, specially designed to help tourists and residents navigate the city in an accessible way. Instead of waiting for visitors to come to a tourist office, this bike brought the information directly to them — out on the streets, at squares, events, and hotspots. In this way, the city was actively shared with those eager to explore it.

Mothership developed the concept and was responsible for the design, execution, and project management, while also acting as curator. By combining functionality with design and urban identity, the Information Bike became a friendly and recognizable feature of the Rotterdam streetscape — always in motion, just like the city itself.
