Muurschildering Lubeckplein
In Zwolle, the future is being built — especially in the Spoorzone, where a new urban district full of culture, innovation, and life is emerging. At its heart lies Lübeckplein, once bare and uninviting, now in full transformation. Mothership proudly contributed to this renewal by realizing an iconic mural that brings new character and color to the space.
On a wall spanning no less than 325 square meters – clad with 9,800 tiles – now shines a monumental artwork by Studio Ruwedata (Thijs Kelder), executed by Zwolle-based artist Lonneke van Zutphen. A watchful eye lovingly overlooks the square, a city gate welcomes visitors to the renewed district, and even the stylized tower of the Grote Kerk peeks curiously around the corner.
Mothership was responsible for project management, curatorship, and consultancy. The result: an artwork that elevates not just the wall, but the entire neighborhood — a colorful beacon of pride and imagination in a city that looks to the future.
