Healing Krystal

A beacon of light above the intersection of Agniesestraat and Heemraadsestraat in Rotterdam: since 2015, the Healing Kristal by artist Hans van Bentem has hung there. This spiky, crystal-shaped artwork symbolically connects different eras, cultures, and atmospheres — a sparkling bridge designed to unite the neighborhood.

Where the object could once only be admired during the day, it now shines at night as well. Since May 2015, the Healing Kristal has been illuminated, transforming it into an enchanting beacon in the dark. So don’t forget to look up when you pass this intersection.
