Battle of the Taurus
Two teams of five artists each went head-to-head, armed with brushes and paint, around a nine-meter-high tower. This creative clash took place at Dance Valley 2006, commissioned by Red Bull. Mothership developed the concept and was also responsible for the production and project management.
During Dance Valley 2006, Mothership, in collaboration with Dizl Productions and commissioned by Red Bull, organized the project Battle of the Taurus in the Red Bull Lounge. Two teams of ten street artists in total — from the collectives Lastplak and Kwasten Met De Gasten (KMDG) — went head-to-head, each live-painting a nine-meter-high tower.
The audience could experience the artistic battle up close, watching as the towers gradually transformed over the course of the festival into colorful monuments of style and expression. The project gave street art a prominent place at a music festival, showcasing the energy, competition, and collaboration that define this art form.
Mothership developed the concept and was responsible for both the production and project management.
