Silvery Delights
Silvery Delights is a series of eight playful seating objects designed by Bart Cardinaal and Nadine Roos of the design duo HUNK-design. The objects were installed at the entrance and around the new headquarters of the Stichting Kunstzinnige Vorming Rotterdam (SKVR) on Aert van Nesstraat. The goal was to give the building an inviting character that matched the lively and creative spirit of SKVR.
In addition to the Silvery Delights, the columns were given a new color, a stage was installed, and colorful panels displaying works by students decorated the walls. The sculptural objects invite people to sit, lounge, and climb — and have become a popular meeting place for passersby.
The project was realized in 2013, commissioned by SKVR, Bureau Binnenstad, and Intercity Management, and produced by Mothership.
