Raum

In 2010, a vacant office building on Stadhuisplein in the heart of Rotterdam received a striking temporary new identity. Artist trio Monique Scuric, Paul Swagerman, and Rudin Swagerman transformed the building with a massive 11.5 by 38 meter sticker displaying just one word: RAUM. This simple yet powerful intervention gave the structure new meaning as an art space and temporary workspace.

The project was initiated by Bureau Binnenstad Rotterdam, in collaboration with SKAR (Stichting Kunst Accommodatie Rotterdam), and was curated, coordinated, and produced by Mothership.
