Pan
For the annual TMF Awards, TMF Music Channel was looking for a trophy that would truly stand out — an iconic object comparable to the Golden Calf of the Netherlands Film Festival, but rooted in their own world of music, energy, and youth culture. It had to become a contemporary idol — one that symbolized the very DNA of the channel.
The choice fell on Pan, the devilish seducer from Greek mythology — half man, half beast, and a master of temptation with his pan flute. Artist Luuk Bode gave this classical figure a contemporary twist, creating a powerful sculpture that embodies sex, drugs, and rock & roll — the ultimate fusion of pop culture and myth.
Among the recipients were rapper Ali B, singer Marco Borsato, and artist Anouk. Mothership acted as curator and was responsible for production and project management. The result was an art object that powerfully bridged the worlds of visual art and music culture.
