Liefdespad Ruurlo

The Loveseat by Hans van Bentem is a colorful artwork along the Liefdespad (Path of Love) in Ruurlo, realized with the support of founder ProRail. This expressive bench is an ode to inclusivity, standing out through its vivid colors and elegant shapes. Located at Ruurlo Station — a place of meeting and connection — the piece serves as a striking landmark within the theme Love for Diversity. Mothership acted as curator, producer, and project manager for this project, ensuring that Hans van Bentem’s work not only impressed artistically but was also seamlessly integrated into the public space of Ruurlo Station.

In collaboration with the LGBTQ+ network Trainbow, ProRail is committed to creating a socially safe working environment for all its LGBTQ+ colleagues. They believe that the best performance arises when the strengths and diversity of all employees are embraced. By valuing differences and celebrating common ground, a strong and inclusive organization emerges.

The Loveseat is an artistic symbol of that commitment. It invites togetherness and stands for openness, visibility, and connection. Love in all its forms finds a place here — right in the heart of the station.
