Let it Snow

Let it Snow was het winterproject van Studio VOLLAERSZWART voor het winterfestival in Rotterdam. Hun missie? Rotterdam trakteren op een echte sneeuwervaring, ongeacht het weer. Gedurende de maand december veranderde de Coolsingel in een winters decor dankzij een spectaculaire installatie: een grote steigerconstructie in de vorm van de letters SNOW, volledig bekleed met wit krimpfolie.

Let it Snow was the winter project by Studio VOLLAERSZWART for Rotterdam’s winter festival. Their mission? To give the city a true snow experience — no matter the weather. Throughout December, the Coolsingel was transformed into a wintry spectacle thanks to a striking installation: a large scaffolding structure in the shape of the letters SNOW, completely wrapped in white shrink film.

With Let it Snow, Studio VOLLAERSZWART gave the city a poetic twist, blending art, play, and the spirit of the season in an unexpected way. In the end, Rotterdam got its white Christmas after all — with just a little creative help.
