Het Heelal
Along the A13, near Rotterdam The Hague Airport, a striking temporary artwork appeared in 2014, offering drivers a philosophical experience of being stuck in traffic — a “filesophical” reflection on waiting. The work was a tribute to the Rotterdam poet and was initiated by his friends Hans Kleinjan, Jack Kerklaan, and Krijn van Laar.
The project was designed by text collective Mwah, which captured the distinctive Deelder style in a bold and impactful design. Mothership acted as producer, coordinating collaboration between all parties involved. The execution was carried out in partnership with Esbi, using a frame provided by Xtra Materieel.
