Enlarged Painting
Laan Irodjojo (1969, Paramaribo) is a talented outsider artist working at Atelier Herenplaats in Rotterdam. Since 1995, he has been bringing tranquil cityscapes to life using acrylic on canvas. Owing to his photographic memory associated with Savant syndrome, he draws buildings, ships, and bridges with remarkable precision—without using a ruler, often in cool blue tones with bold black outlines. One of his paintings was enlarged and installed on the Witte de Withstraat.
The unveiling took place during the Wereld van de Witte de With festival in 2005. Mothership was responsible for the production and project management.
