150 Years of Holland America Line
In 2023, Holland America Line celebrated its 150th anniversary. To mark this special occasion, Mothership developed a large-scale projection and light show in Rotterdam, the city where the cruise line was founded.
The iconic Erasmus Bridge served as the backdrop for a visual spectacle connecting past and future. Using gobo projections and powerful beams of light, Mothership paid tribute to 150 years of maritime history.
The arrival of Rotterdam VII, the flagship of Holland America Line, completed the celebration.
Mothership was responsible for the full concept development, production, and project management. In collaboration with several partners, a layered and accessible experience was created — one that quite literally placed the city in the spotlight.
A festive tribute to the connection between Rotterdam and the world — just as Mothership has done for 20 years: bringing art to the people.
